The CSU ALUMNI RELATIONS OFFICE HELD OATH TAKING AND INDUCTION FOR CSUAAI OFFICERS FOR 2022 – 2024

CSU President Dr. Anthony Penaso led the induction of the new set of officers for 2022-2024 of the CARAGA STATE UNIVERSITY Alumni Association Inc. (CSUAAI) in an oath-taking ceremony held on June 8, 2022 at Pavillion X Watergate Hotel Butuan City.

In his message, Dr. Penaso highlighted the importance of the alumni in the development of Caraga State University. He urged the alumni officers to be active partners in CSU’s quest for excellence. Also present were, CSU First Lady, Ms. Abigail Noemis T. Penaso, former alumni Board of Regents representatives Mr. Gerry Joey S. Laurito and Dr. Elena L. Paulma. The later was one of the firsts alumni who graduated in 1951, when CSU was established in 1946 as Agusan Agricultural High School (AAHS).

CSU alumni industry partner Engr. Jerenato B. Alfante, President/CEO of Macro Wiring Technologies Inc. and One Filipinos Worldwide (OFW) partylist Chairman was the CSUAAI Guest of Honor. In a very candid talk he inspired the alumni to work hard and conquer all odds to become the best humans that they can be. As an active officer of the University of Santo Tomas alumni association, Engr. Alfante also shared how the CSUAAI can help and give back to their alma mater the best way they can.

The CSUAAI 2022-2024 Set of Officers is led by its newly elected President, Ms. Michel B. Valdez, Vice President, Junelito A. Salugsugan, Secretaries, Ivy Dominique R. Low & Philip Donald Sanchez, PIO Raphson Malaluan, Auditor, Gerlee Manlubatan, Treasurers, Sharon Reyes & Anamarie P. Sajonia, Board Members: Sonia R. Low, Joy Capistrano, Gerry Joey S. Laurito, Edgardo Ricardo B. Sajonia, Raf L. Lansangan, Jean Tado, Ryan F. Sarsale. The officers will serve for two years. The CSUAAI Main campus president will be the alumni representative to the Board of Regents from 2022-2024.
