CSU Alumni Jubilarians 2017 With The CSUAAI And The PIAEA Gear Up For Homecoming 2017

The Caraga State University Alumni Association Inc. (CSUAAI), presently headed by alumni President Mr. Gerry Joey S. Laurito and alumni Vice President, Mr. Nilo Y. Villamor and other active CSUAAI board members, with Batch 1992 gathered by its president, Mr. Allan R. Sarzate and its vice president, Mr. Richard J. Gorme, this year’s Jubilarians and host batch are set for the 71st CSU Alumni Homecoming.

Batch 1992 has been meeting and planning since late 2016; early January, batch 1992 with some CSUAAI officers, together with the Public Information, Alumni and External affairs director and staff regularly meet every Sunday afternoon.

Earlier the Alumni Office Director requested the technical assistance of the College of Computing and Information Science (CCIS) through its dean and other CSU alumni employees for better and longer internet connectivity and hours long use of the Zoom platform.

The members who attended comprising the majority decided to push through with the election as traditionally done by choosing fifteen individuals who got higher votes as CSUAAI’s Board of Directors. CSUAAI holds its Alumni Homecoming every third Saturday of May.

Holding areas and different platforms were opened for the alumni to cast their votes. The elected fifteen people convened and voted among themselves as to who becomes the president, the vice president, and all the other member officers.

Entrepreneur, businesswoman Michel B.  Valdez got the highest votes for CSUAAI Presidency. The following is the list of CSUAAI Officers for 2022-2024

 

The CSUAAI and PIAEA with batch 1992 are pleased to announce the 2017 homecoming set on May 20, 2017. Pictorial for the host batch with the officers is on April 29, 2017 Saturday, 1: 30 P. M. at the PIAEA office. This year’s alumni unity colors are green and yellow, greenery which is 2017 color of the year is in.

The alumni activity will begin on May 19, 2017 with the following activities:

  • 6:00 – 7:00 A. M. – Pre-Registration/Assembly at the PIAEA office and CSU Conference Room
  • 7:00 – 9:00 A. M. – Forest Bathing and Tree Hugging with Poetry Reading, Clean Up CSU Drive (Trash Picking and Proper Waste Disposal Advocacy)
  • 9:15 – 10:00 A. M. –Unity BREAKY (Breakfast Bonding)
  • 10:15 -11:00 A. M. – CSUAAI and Jubilarians meeting with the PIAEA and other batch supporters.
  • 12: 00 A. M.  – End of Day 1 Activity.  Butuan Fiesta. The afternoon will be batch meet up.

Alumni homecoming is on May 20, 2017 at the CSU (Sanchez Gymnasium). Unity colors are green and yellow. The homecoming concept/theme is Hawaiian. Everyone is enjoined to wear Hawaiian attire during the program in the evening.

  • 1:00 – 2:00 P. M. – Registration
  • 2:00 – 3:00 P. M. – General Assembly/Election of Officers for 2017-2019
  • 3:15 – 3:30 P. M. – Snacks will be served.
  • 3:45 – 5:00 P. M. – Motorcade
  • 5:00 – 6:00 P. M. – Batch Bonding / Introduction of Batches (Dance walk from the main entrance to the stage).
  • 6:30 – 7:00 P. M. – Dinner Bonding
  • 7:00 – 8:00 P. M. – Program and Awarding
  • 8:15 – Onwards – Dancing, Singing, Chatting, Reminiscing, Anything goes.

The CSUAAI and host batch 1992 encourage everyone to prepare their batch presentation of 3-5 minutes. Kindly coordinate with the PIAEA and the CSUAAI relative to your presentation on these numbers: 09504235541; 09289565182 and 09999658053, please ask for Joy, Leah or Rey.

Prizes will be given to the best presentation, best in tarpaulin and number of batch member attendees, face of the night, and other prizes for surprise numbers and games. Former CSUAAI alumni presidents, Dr. Elena L. Paulma and Dr. Elmer A. Palacio with other alumni Board of Trustees members commit to join on the mentioned events.
